Yes, there are some family dynamics going on here that would be very interesting to get some juice on.
Is Jill really the puppet-master of it all, as many have suggested, perhaps not just controlling Joe due to his deficits, but also perhaps in a dominant relationship with Hunter (perhaps due to being compromised and bailed out so many times in the past). If so, it would still suggest that Jill trusts Hunter above all others, and needs him in those meetings to report back to her and make sure no one is getting the better of Joe.
It also may be possible that Hunter is really the dominant personality in the family, and with his father in such a compromised state, not just mentally, but now politically, he feels he needs to move in and protect him.
No matter which way it works, I’m sure I can hear the excuses they are using: “Look, the orange man had his son and his son-in-law in the White House doing lots of work for him, blah de blah, yadda yadda”
I suspect that Jill has pushed the envelop as far as possible in controlling Joe and the WH staff around him. A lot of this now resembles 1919/1920, with Mrs Wilson running the WH. Over the next decade....this will be dragged out a good bit...how to prevent it again.
And, so Hunter has security clearance now?
