I feel so sorry for the couple. They make it to their golden years and this happens to them. What a lousy way for the widower to spend his final years without his wife. He’ll be replaying the encounter over and over in his mind to his dying breath.

If it were me, my new hobby would hunting.

NOTHING is “upmarket” if Blacks can access it. Robert Moses knew this and designed his highways and trains accordingly.

She was visiting along with her husband from New Zealand

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) — A tourist who was struck and killed by a suspect’s vehicle during a botched robbery attempt at Newport Beach’s Fashion Island has been identified as a 68-year-old woman visiting from New Zealand. The names of three suspects in custody were also released Wednesday.

The Orange County coroner’s office said the deceased woman’s name was Patricia McKay.

The suspects were identified as Jaden Cunningham, 18, of Lancaster, Malachi Eddward Darnell, 18, of Los Angeles, and Leroyernest Joseph McCrary, 26, of Compton, according to the Newport Beach Police Department. All three were booked on suspicion of homicide

“’Newport Beach is a safe community...’”
______________

There are no “safe communities.” The only “safety” that exists is a person who takes responsibility for his/her own safety.

They caught one of them in my neighborhood here in Cypress. I had just walked through this park about 20 minutes before all this happened. What I still do not understand is how this clown got to my neighborhood going by the news reports. Neighbors took his picture before they put him in the police car. Yes, he is Black. Here is a video of the police cars taken by Roy a neighbor.

If they had robbed jewelry off these unfortunate tourists worth less than $980 the robbery would be a misdemeanor and the violators would be sent home after a free lunch. Technically, since there were 3 bad guys, they could have stolen close to 3 times that amount and still walked. I vote life time in jail for all three. Have Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris, our 2 beloved public leaders, weighed in yet? I know rich democrat residents of Newport Beach love to donate to the likes of those two. Time for Orange County to wake up.

A white Toyota and a white tent. What color was missing in the story I wonder.

You missed the white tent part of the story. That is equally important.

The woman who was killed was from New Zealand—so not an American citizen. Not that that makes the murder any less heinous.

That über wealthy area in So Cal - the OC - will find out that THEY are no longer immune from violent crime

Been that way for a long time now. So bad most of the wealthy in S.CA had to give up their limousines because it made them BIG targets.

No one is safe in the big population centers in CA.

It actually makes it worse for the area, as she was a tourist.

Well, what’s that white Toyota doing driving around free as a bird anyway? They must have let it go free on no-bail.

By the way this trend of low life and violent criminals traveling from their neighborhoods into places like Newport Beach is not new. Not enough loot to be had in their neighborhoods so the trend for years now is head into areas with money. They have more loot, bigger prizes.

The affluent areas in S. CA have become ever shrinking small islands that have become very attractive targets for the criminals.
