Manhattan prosecutors on Tuesday agreed with Donald J. Trump’s request to postpone his criminal sentencing so that the judge overseeing the case could weigh whether a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling might imperil his conviction, new court filings show.
It is up to the judge to determine whether to postpone the sentencing, though with both sides in agreement, a delay seemed likely. The judge, Juan M. Merchan, could rule as soon as Tuesday.

Funny how everything just seems to work out for Trump. Almost like it was well, planned. 🤔
And under the Supreme Court’s new ruling, prosecutors not only cannot charge a president for any official acts, but also cannot cite evidence involving official acts to bolster other accusations.
I was wondering how the SCOTUS decision impacted the NY conviction of Mr. Trump.
Who is really running the show?
My guess: Barak Obama with George Soros as the final word. And some names you and I have never heard of.
January 20th, 2017 is the date to look for. Inauguration day for Trump 45.
See post 42.
exactly. I hope Trump’s team is considering that. It may be legally sound but from a political perspective, is it? It will help them drive the narrative that “Trump thinks he’s above the law”
“This judge will still do what he was going to do.”
This judge Merchan sees the writing on the wall from SCOTUS. Their recent rulings have included statements on unanimity in jury verdicts, (required), as well as defendant rights, many of which were violated by Merchan during this ridiculous proceeding.
Merchan may very much wish to avoid the very public bi+chslap that he feels approaching him and his conduct by the federal judiciary.
Remember, this was the weakest of all of the cases against Trump, which is quite saying something. In addition, the spotlight was not intended to be solely on Merchan and his court room. It was timed to be one of 4 cases running simultaneously that would have had Trump ping-ponging between NY, DC, Atlanta and Florida in dizzying fashion, all while keeping Trump consumed and bankrolling an army of attorneys, all while being kept off of the campaign trail.
Trump has torpedoed it all in spectacular fashion!
I agree.
Very good post.
Meathead has always been a liberal idiot, the part he played in all in the family was perfect for him.
The Democrat/Communist Party can not let this happen as, without 90% of the "black vote", data show they are not competitive in a national election!
Jeff Childers gives a detailed legal analysis of the court’s ruling(s) which may help:

I think some of them are catching on that Trump now has something in common with them. Sharpton says something like Trump is insulting them by suggesting that they sympathize with him because felony convictions are more likely for them.
What Bragg and Merchan have proved to me is that unscrupulous prosecutors and judges can use gullible or biased juries and poorly written laws to convict innocent people.
They could be working on the worst way to sentence Trump-send him to jail, idk
It’s a possibility. 🤪
Charlie Kirk is reporting it is delayed until September.
I heard one fellow say that as a result of this “trial”, Trump now has “street cred” with “the brothers”.
><
That started way before this trial. Those stories have circulated for a long time and it’s truer by the day.
It’s obvious, the hatred inside of you only destroys YOU.
Hatred is not a strategy. It is a self-destructive human failing.
Screaming at a TV does not affect the TV or the people talking on it.
It might make these scoundrels feel better, temporarily, if they could physically and viciously abuse those they hate. Brass knuckles and clubs might provide more satisfaction than screaming or crying.
In the Middle East, beating someone to death is only the beginning of the festivities. You then strip the clothes off the body and drag the corpse through the streets to cheers and further assaults upon the dead one.
