Good ole John Dean, the go to guy for generations.
Another vile, irrelevant person heard from.
If that’s the case he should have fought, like Trump fought
Just go away.
Not correct. Authorizing the Watergate burglary was not an official act as the Supreme Court defined it.
Is his wife still hot?
“John Dean says Nixon ‘would have survived’ Watergate under immunity ruling,”
No he would have likely been impeached and removed from office.
Dean is a liar. Running a black bag operation against a political for is not an official duty. Unless you are a DemonRAT. Then it’s expected.
I would rather hear Janice Dean’s opinion.
😂
Me, too.
John Dean is an idiot. The immunity ruling does not in any way effect impeachment.
Go away, you never-been, has-been wannabee.
John Dean is a self serving prevarication.
It has nothing to do with impeachment.
She’s 85; I haven’t seen a recent pic.
Laz?
No. The acts Nixon was accused of was Nixon a presidential race candidate using his powers incumbant in the presidency for political purposes to proetct that candidacy. It was in a sense Nixon the president not having a safe wall between and for protecting the presidency from Nixon the candidate.
A full investigation of Biden and Merrick Garland could find they are as guilty of abuse of their power, for political gain against a political opponent, as Nixon was found to be.
“Digging up Nixon AGAIN and this Watergate dinosaur”
No, it’s a very good point.
THE KEY to Watergate (apart from the fact that it was a Deep State coup) was that the novel idea of a member of the Executive Branch NOT SUBORDINATE TO THE ELECTED EXECUTIVE could be created by another Branch.
This, when just ten years before the AG had been the President’s own brother, for heaven’s sake!
Congress ALWAYS had the power to remove the President. Congress had that power in 1973, they had it from 2017-2021, and they have it today.
But they were afraid to do what they were allowed by the Constitution to do, so they did something they were NOT allowed to do, which was to create a myth of an “independent” executive department (in this case, the DOJ) so they could control the Executive by populating it with officials not subordinate to the President.
Good work by Roberts to dissect all this out and destroy a 51 year old Constitutional wrong turn.
It’s almost a drinking game at this point.
False. It protects them while doing lawful actions, it does not give them carte blanc permission to run wild and do any illegal thing they want. Only brain dead idiots believe that.
Cutting, accurate, and to the point. Good post.
Nixon’s Watergate was child’s play compared to Clinton’s Russiagate.
