Puzzled by this, but Bragg’s motive may be to push sentencing/confinement/jail closer to election and early voting.
The closer this happens to the election, the more political it will look.
I have no idea what the exact reason is, but I can almost guarantee, had to be on Thursday and recent SCOTUS immunity case through a giant wrench in their plans.
