There are two competing timelines being fought right now. One is pushing Biden the rest of the way, and the other wants Biden replaced. If this were the GOP, they would crater under that scenario. But the DEMs are used to have conflicts in their ranks just to keep the troops happy (i.e. LGBTQ* vs Muslims).
Carville wanted Biden out months ago—I intensely dislike the guy but he really does pay attention to grass roots Democrats.
Just like with Hillary there is a pecking order and timeline.The next good DEI candidates aren’t ready yet for the starting gate. Democrats need to test their loyalties a couple more years. The blackmail traps aren’t mature enough yet. The democrats don’t trust their colleagues they have to be molded and control James it is too risky to send out a new candidate until they are fully programmed.So Biden is their guy even if 70% want him out.
