So they are playing the will he won’t he game? Interesting.
I guess the question becomes has their dementia addled puppet gone off the rails or is this a coordinated strategy.
Good morning everybody.
My thoughts on President Trumps speech last night. It was a conversation with the American people of every walk of life, of every race and creed. It was a conversation from the heart of a man who looked death in the face and came away changed by the encounter.
He was firm. He was resolved. He told the country what needed to be done and what he was going to do as a leader. For those who needed to hear, he gave us the story of what happened Saturday, and for the entire country he demonstrated respect and love to the victims.
He didn’t use his colorful names and only once referred to Biden as well, Biden. He didn’t provoke. He didn’t bluster. He was subdued at times, emotional, but that was contrasted by a firm inner strength and unwavering resolve. And yes, there was humor too.
The old Never Trumper posters here on FR with the exception of a few, who to their credit, were supportive, showed up on the convention thread all of a sudden. (Maybe they have been posting all along and I just missed them) However, there were one or two who would have found room to criticize President Trump even if he had walked out on that stage with a halo over his head and Christ beside him, hand on his shoulder.
For me a rabid President Trump supporter, I love his rally speeches, but I understand the need for statesmanship and the necessity of bringing a country together that is in sharp downward decline. And that is the acceptance speech he gave.
Rant over.
