You’re welcome.
I think a lot can be learned from those videos.
Good to see you.
Good morning, LG!
I am physically tired, but also emotionally spent this morning.
I don’t think I have ever shed tears as much as I have during a convention as this one.
The events on Saturday played a huge role, no doubt.

Trump is flipping every moderate I know… and many life-long democrats, by speaking to all Americans in a way that the democrats have forgotten how to do.
There are a lot of lessons here for @TheDemocrats
, from having a positive message to building a big, non-judgmental tent — and *listening* to your constituents as oppose to lecturing them.
Take notes 📝 dems, there’s a reason why you’re getting a shellacking

Good morning everybody.
My thoughts on President Trumps speech last night. It was a conversation with the American people of every walk of life, of every race and creed. It was a conversation from the heart of a man who looked death in the face and came away changed by the encounter.
He was firm. He was resolved. He told the country what needed to be done and what he was going to do as a leader. For those who needed to hear, he gave us the story of what happened Saturday, and for the entire country he demonstrated respect and love to the victims.
He didn’t use his colorful names and only once referred to Biden as well, Biden. He didn’t provoke. He didn’t bluster. He was subdued at times, emotional, but that was contrasted by a firm inner strength and unwavering resolve. And yes, there was humor too.
The old Never Trumper posters here on FR with the exception of a few, who to their credit, were supportive, showed up on the convention thread all of a sudden. (Maybe they have been posting all along and I just missed them) However, there were one or two who would have found room to criticize President Trump even if he had walked out on that stage with a halo over his head and Christ beside him, hand on his shoulder.
For me a rabid President Trump supporter, I love his rally speeches, but I understand the need for statesmanship and the necessity of bringing a country together that is in sharp downward decline. And that is the acceptance speech he gave.
Rant over.
A glitch in a Microsoft update to the Crowdstrike servers has caused a worldwide computer issues, shutting down banks, governments, airlines, etc.
Crowdstrike says the problem has been identified and a fix is being applied.
Good morning, exit!
I am feeling much the same way you are.
It has really been a roller coaster of emotions since last Saturday, that is for sure.
I have seen so many conventions but this one by was the very best no question about it.
I really wanted to sleep in this morning, needed the sleep, but.....
Great post which echos many of my exact sentiments.
This was not a rally speech but a speech to ALL Americans and I think he nailed it.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts this morning.
UnHerd’s @emilyjashinsky was in the hall for Trump’s convention speech. She tells me that Republicans met a new man last night - softly-spoken, conciliatory, meek…
…for the first ten minutes.

Well said,navymom1.
For all those who wondered where Barron was last night....
Lawrence Jones talked to President Trump who said that Barron is really struggling with what happened on Saturday.
I hope people will try to understand a young man’s feelings when he almost lost his father and have some respect.
Throughout his political career, Trump has shared with us a sense of wonder at the various things he encounters -- the "complicated business" of winning, the "terrible" experience of being persecuted, the shock of being shot, the wonder at feeling the love of the crowd. #rnc2024— Joel Pollak (@joelpollak) July 19, 2024

WOW! WOW! WOW!🚨🚨🚨 here's Janeen Diguiseppi, assistant director director to the FBI, sitting directly behind behind Trump at the Butler rally when he was hit! She never budged when he went to the ground but took pics. Just WTH is going on?

It WAS a speech, for the ages!
In one speech ... our dear RPOTUS comforted us, after HIS own life was threatened, protected us, with his promise to make even the most dangerous areas of the country SAFE, again, and, gave us reassurance that our great nation WILL be happy, and, GREAT, again.
It was the speech WE needed to hear, to lift us up from our sadness, fear and uncertainty, from one of the greatest leaders, of all time.
GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS PRES TRUMP ... who seeks Your face, for this nation. 🙏🏻
Good morning, Gran, and, MAGAdonians!
Too many questions!
And one of the things our government is exceptionally good at doing, hiding the answers.
They will come up with what they want us to believe.
Good morning, Jane!
