Montana GOP Senate hopeful Tim Sheehy is getting some help in his effort to oust incumbent Sen. Jon Tester.
Politico reports that More Jobs, Less Government, a super PAC aligned with Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), is launching a $4 million ad campaign this week that will run for about a month before incorporating a radio component July 10.
Tester, who is seeking his third six-year term in the upper chamber, has a challenge ahead of him in a state former President Trump won handily in 2016 and 2020.
The strategy behind the ad campaign: Nationalize the race, and tie Tester to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY), and President Biden, who continues to struggle with low approval numbers, according to recent polling data.
The PAC had a seven-figure buy earlier this year.
Sheehy has been greatly outspent thus far, especially in the last two months. Since April 1, Democrats have spent $21.6 million, according to AdImpact, while Sheehy and his supporters have spent $12.8 million.
Montana is home to a number of medium and small radio groups, including Townsquare Media, The Montana Radio Company, Marks Radio, STARadio, Silver Star Communications, New Media Broadcasters, Missoula Broadcasting Company, Desert Mountain Broadcasting, Butte Broadcasting, Benedetti Media Group, Bee Broadcasting, and Anderson Radio Group.
Hope it works , Tester is a turd.
