The GOP should not be stupid here. It takes a two-thirds majority to remove Resident Biden under the 25th amendment. They need to vote no.

I thought that as well. But then another FReeper correctly pointed out that Congress is not involved, at least at first. If the VP and a majority of the cabinet want the president removed, he is removed. The VP immediately becomes the acting president.

If the actual president objects, a complicated process starts that does involve Congress, as you noted.
