Bolivian President Luis Arce Catacora reviewed with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin the joint lithium and nuclear projects with which the South American country consolidates its position from a geopolitical and strategic viewpoint given the presence of Iranian facilities and equipment. Arce told reporters in La Paz Tuesday that all these matters were discussed during his recent meeting with the Russian leader in St. Petersburg on the occasion of the International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in the former imperial capital.

According to Arce, the project involving Russia's Uranium One company regarding direct lithium extraction in Bolivian salt flats “must start operating in 2025” while that company and the state-owned Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB) “are going to take all the necessary measures to achieve this.”

Two weeks later we have a coup attempt. CIA stench all over this one too.

Unquestionably. Bolivia was also one of the very first states (at least, among South American nations) to break with Israel over the latter's actions in Gaza. Bolivia had also recently expressed interest in joining BRICS.

The GAE won't go quietly. So I suppose there's no choice but to hope for its destruction.

If people by now can't figure out what's wrong with this country, there's no hope for them.

It not because Russia is so marvelous, but because it’s seriously dangerous to be pals with the USA these days.

The troops turned on the general, as did the people. There is a great clip of him being arrested by his own men as he was addressing the press.

Well, good. Fortunately, the CIA seems to be going the way of the FBI. Mostly a crowd of generally incompetent clowns, capable nowadays of bullying American citizens, but that's about it. I suppose, long term, that's some sort of progress.

Recalling the great South American writers I realized I could recall not a single talented Bolivian author. So I checked on recent developments. “The constant political turmoil that Bolivia has experienced throughout its history has slowed the development of Bolivian literature. Many talents have had to emigrate or were silenced by the internal conflict. In recent years the literature of Bolivia has been in a process of growth, with the appearance of new writers. Older writers such as Adela Zamudio, Oscar Alfaro, and Franz Tamayo continue to be important.” Well one might add “important to whom?”

So, if a country votes a socialist leader, the CIA has the inherent right to overthrow that leader. I assume you agree completely. One problem when you become a fellow traveler of the CIA, you’re forced to support all of their coups. You know, like the MAGA coup. One thing your CIA friends hate more than socialism is MAGA. MAGA, socialist, traditional, any country not a globohomo stooge to the West must be on your overthrow list.

Claims are neither proof nor evidence. Consider the sources making the claim, it is THEY who have a policital interest in the claim.

Care to bet that once this all shakes out that CIA has its hands in it? Of course they do. You can’t be that ignorant of the CIA’s history of coups across all of Latin America, including Bolivia. Bolivia goes BRICS and the Taliban sponsored this coup? No, ISIS (K). Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Care to present any evidence? Of course you don’t.

Conspiracy mongers in international affairs just can’t imagine any country’s leaders having domestic enemies capable of a coup against them.

Evidence? Oh, I forgot. You’re totally ignorant of history. Consider that the CIA has ran 81 coups under similar circumstances since its inception, including Bolivia. As I said, once the facts shake out, we’ll find the CIA is involved AGAIN. This coup was unsuccessful so we’ll have an investigation and the ham handed CIA efforts will come to light. Since you’re clueless of Latin American history, pay attention and you might learn something.

That isn’t evidence though. That is a conclusion based on previous behavior, not the particulars of this case. Several people have noted that there was a good chance that this was staged by the president to boost his waning popularity. No real evidence for that either.

Well, do you want to bet or not? I really like the odds that the CIA is involved. I’ll give you 2-1 odds on your goofy theory if you’d like. $10 buck donation yo FR.
