Massachusetts governor issues executive order protecting ’emergency abortions’

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey issued an executive order on Monday, the anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which she says establishes the state as a “beacon” for abortion.

The order ensures that the state’s hospitals and health care providers will provide “emergency abortion care.”

“In this building, we are showing unity on this issue,” Healey said. “Today we make clear a women’s choice. Her reproductive choices are hers. There is no question they are defended in Massachusetts.”

“There are many reasons women need abortions,” Healey declared. “Early interventions are safer, more effective and do not pose as great a risk to women.”

Healey’s announcement comes in advance of the Supreme Court’s decisions in two cases, Moyle v. United States and Idaho v. United States, which will determine whether or not Idaho emergency room doctors can intentionally end the lives of preborn children by abortion for allegedly “medically necessary” reasons.

However, in contrast to the facts in these cases, Rebecca Hart Holden, president of Reproductive Equity Now, claimed, “The Supreme Court is to decide whether people with pregnancy complications should be allowed to live.”

Despite inflammatory claims that pregnant women experiencing complications will die, emergency treatment to save the life of the mother has always been legal — even in states where preborn children are protected from abortion. In the event that a preterm delivery is necessary, every effort can be made to save both the child and the mother, even if the baby dies despite those efforts. This is different from an induced abortion, which is the direct and intentional killing of a preborn child.

Miscarriage treatments, emergency deliveries, and treatment for ectopic pregnancies are not abortions and are legal in every state.

This distinction has previously been explained by Ingrid Skop, the vice president and director of medical affairs for Charlotte Lozier Institute.

“As a practicing OB-GYN, I care for both a mother and her unborn child, and in my 30 years of practice, I have never had to resort to an abortion to save a woman’s life. In fact, about 90% of my obstetric peers refuse to perform elective abortions,” she has said, adding, “Abortion advocates have one goal: to spread confusion through lies. They want to increase abortions on demand at any time in pregnancy, and they will do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. It’s crucial that Americans, especially women, start questioning the abortion advocates weaponizing that confusion for their own benefit, rather than the pro-life protections that very clearly protect pregnant women facing heartbreaking situations.”

Being a lifelong resident of the Gay State (Massachusetts) I’d wager everything I own that our filthy bull dyke Governor will soon sign an executive order making abortions *mandatory*!

ERs will be the new abortion mills, at 5X the price of non-hospital clinics. I could see abortionists wanting to compete with the hospitals opening “Emergency Abortion Clinics”.

The noise over abortion will be deafening leading up to Election Day. The Democrats will do anything to secure the suburban white women’s vote.

“Emergency abortions”? What’s that all about? Soon, ALL abortions will be deemed emergency abortions. Just getting around the law and moral authority.

“No state shall...deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law.”

Amendment XIV, Section 1

“The appellee and certain amici argue that the fetus is a “person” within the language and meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment. In support of this, they outline at length and in detail the well known facts of fetal development. If this suggestion of personhood is established, the appellant’s case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’ right to life would then be guaranteed specifically by the Amendment.”

Combined oral contraceptives—Also called “the pill,” combined oral contraceptives contain the hormones estrogen and progestin. It is prescribed by a doctor. A pill is taken at the same time each day. If you are older than 35 years and smoke, have a history of blood clots or breast cancer, your doctor may advise you not to take the pill. Typical use failure rate: 7%.

Progestin only pill—Unlike the combined pill, the progestin-only pill (sometimes called the mini-pill) only has one hormone, progestin, instead of both estrogen and progestin. It is prescribed by a doctor. It is taken at the same time each day. It may be a good option for women who can’t take estrogen. Typical use failure rate: 7%.

Implant—The implant is a single, thin rod that is inserted under the skin of a women’s upper arm. The rod contains a progestin that is released into the body over 3 years. Typical use failure rate: 0.1%.

Levonorgestrel intrauterine system (LNG IUD)—The LNG IUD is a small T-shaped device like the Copper T IUD. It is placed inside the uterus by a doctor. It releases a small amount of progestin each day to keep you from getting pregnant. The LNG IUD stays in your uterus for up to 3 to 8 years, depending on the device. Typical use failure rate: 0.1-0.4%.

I suspect most abortions are the end result of not taking birth control pills on time.

Perhaps daily reminder pill boxes are needed that work in conjunction with cell phones.

Pull up your birth control pill app, babe!

Good to go. Let’s rock & roll.

“If you have taken MS-2 Step and you have heavy vaginal bleeding (filling more than 2 maxi pads every 30 minutes for more than 2 hours, passing clots larger than a tennis ball), seek urgent medical care, or call...for an ambulance.”

“You should stay within a 2-hour drive of a hospital for 14 days after starting MS-2 Step in case you have heavy bleeding or complications.”

“There are many reasons women need abortions,” Healey declared. “Early interventions are safer, more effective and do not pose as great a risk to women.”

There is only one medical reason a woman might need an abortion and those are very rare.

The overwhelming majority of murdering babies are for convenience.

“Women, rest assured, you can still murder your babies. You will still be the only special citizen that can legally murder another person solely based on your feelings.”
