Livestock farmers in Denmark have been warned the farts and burps from their cows, sheep, and pigs will be measured and taxed from 2030, the first country in the world to do so as it targets methane emissions.
AP reports the aim is to reduce Danish greenhouse gas emissions by 70 percent from 1990 levels by 2030, said Taxation Minister Jeppe Bruus.
As of 2030, Danish livestock farmers will face a punitive tax of 300 kroner ($43) per ton of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2030.

You probably mean protein because there is no fiber in meat.
Beans, eggs, soy, nuts, certain grains and seeds, seafood, tofu. There are plenty of healthy ways to get enough protein.
That said, I have no doubt that their desire to ban meat is based in their desire for a docile and sluggish population. Combine that with a pot-sedated citizenry and you've got an easily controlled group, I'd say.
Save the world! Improve the climate. Tax animal farts.

What do they think was going on for centuries with bison, deer, elk, and other wild ruminants when they roamed the world in abundance???????
