Mill Valley is also a lovely area. More spread out than San Anselmo and more mountainous. I often wonder how the builders found so many ways to construct on those uneven, rolling hillsides and cliffs, but they did. During rainy winters, skme cars have to use their emergency brakes when parking. To keep the car from sliding down muddy driveways.I have had that experience. One feels as though they are living on an island of some sort. Adds to the charm. I suppose.

The charm I saw in MV was at their local Bob’s Donuts. San Anselmo had plenty of charm. DIL felt it was necessary to be homeowners no matter the cost. The two of them don’t make the same decisions we would, but we love them both dearly, and hope they leave one day. They’re both from flyover country.
