I actually think Jean-Pierre doesn’t understand basic math. Her handler probably told her to say that the rate of inflation went down. She took that that to mean that inflation itself went down.

But the inflation numbers are all fake. Everyone knows that. So as Hillary might say, what difference at this point does it make?
