Almost all communes had at least a couple of sociopaths in the group.
The sociopaths refused to work, stole everything in sight and made everybody else’s lives miserable with their antics.
Even if they kicked out a couple of these folks there were always a couple more (often from the original group) ready to take their place.
Human nature includes evil—and denying it is a losing group strategy.
Just a prototype for a 15 minute village?
Looks and sounds like a glorified jail to me.
“There was a big parking lot by the Village, what hypocrites.”
It is clearly stated that they are not anti-car thus not hypocrites.
It looks worse than it sounds.
I’ll give it a hard pass.
No mention of the square feet?
And the sociopaths were also usually the self-appointed leaders who wound-up with the property after the bust up.

They’re coming, one way or another.

Might work great for some people, so long as they don’t try to put us all there.
Virtue signaling like wearing a mask like politicians did then taking it off when no one is looking.
Yeah I got a car just over there.
I bet she uses it when it very hot or rains or is cold or needs to be anywhere fast unlike that electric bike.
I don't blame you. It's 130 in the shade, rattlesnakes roam the neighborhoods, and the scorpions are the size of Chihuahuas.
I hear Texas is nice.
I find your foor..ceiling comment odd . People have been living in apartments for years……….
……
I see. So if you’re in that scenario you wouldn’t mind hearing those above you hacking, sneezing, choking, belching or listening to Chinese folk music all night?
Literally decades ago we used to call it “condo bondage” as seen on a local billboard back then near a development. It was spray painted on their billboard.
