And Abe didn't end slavery; the state of Georgia did that when it became the 27th state to voluntarily ratify the 13th amendment on December 6, 1865 - well after President Lincoln passed away.

And under Oglethorpe the Province of Georgia was the first and I believe only colony to ban slavery. Overruled by the King.

Northern govt using armed occupation & force, aka Reconstruction (”If you DON’T vote for/do {X}, we’ll continue to occupy your State”) != voluntary (& thus should be void/null via duress)
