To carry the analogy a bit further, the Muslims are behaving exactly like the Nazis of the early 1930s. Hitler told everyone exactly what he was going to do, and his thugs were beating up people in the streets. Most people chose to ignore all that.
The Democrats? They are like the Prussian elite who foolishly thought they could control the Nazis, and use them for their own purposes.
