BREAKING: Former President Trump says he will get rid of the Department of Education if elected president.
“We’ll have a tiny group to make sure everyone is teaching English, math, etc. Department of Education goes.”
(Excerpt) Read more at x.com ...
I thought he should put Ben Carson in charge.
No. They have the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for that. Energy goes!
As did many others.
Only one department? What about the FBI, EPA, NSA, TSA, DOE etc.
I’d start with the doj. THere should be no federal laws for much anyhow. given the enumerated powers. next the CIA and that filth.
How about NPR.? There’s a bunch of slime balls that needs the axe for sure..
Darn right.
Seems the longer kids stay in school the dumber they get.
I would call that “DRAINING THE SWAMP”! It’s exactly what Trump is running on, and it’s time people actually understand how overdue that is. We desperately need to restrict power from our money grubbing bureaucracy and return to real constitutional federal government with LIBERTY AND JUSTICE for all.
I would set up some great digs in Nome, AK. Transfer each dept one by one. You get a cot, phone, desk, no internet. SSe how long they last. Let them self eradicate. Then just be real slow on the replacement hiring.
“Choppadick and addatit bureaucrats”.
^
It’s worse than that—and they hire more of their ilk.
“I’d like to see it - but wasn’t that created by an act of Congress?”
And weren’t the borders closed by our immigration laws passed by Congress?
Kudos. Do it.
NPR, PBS
GOOD
Reagan said all of this stuff over 40 years ago and nothing happened.
There are several cabinet agencies that need to go, Education, Energy, Health Services, and more. Imagine cutting the employment of the Federal Government by at least half and this people having to find real jobs.
The US department of education should only have 550 employees, and only exist to disburse funding for STEM programs and putting more technology in classrooms.
He tried this before.
Finally! Is it possible that Trump gets it now? Cut it all down!
RE: Former President Trump says he will get rid of the Department of Education if elected president
The first question that came to my mind is this — How did the Department of Education get created in the first place?
If my memory serves me correctly, this department was created in October 1979 by Congress with the Department of Education Organization Act.
Does the President have the authority to get rid of a department that was created BY LAW? Shouldn’t the abolishing of this department be done by Congress?
