As well as already too many applying to and grabbing up admissions spots in our universities. Green card diploma will quadruple applications, Chinese standardized test cheating, and bribes.
There’s a problem. We educate someone, then we send their talents to another country, instead of keeping them here.

I agree in principle, but visit any engineering school today, and you’ll find 10% of the students being Americans. Smarter Americans now go into ‘finance’ and crap like that, very few will actually work towards a ‘hard’ degree.
I actually met a student from Botswana at a gathering once who told me his government invested a lot in people like him to learn skills and bring them home to advance the home country who paid their tab. It was NOT helpful to have the host country try to get them to stay.
