(San Deigo area) several times a year going to NAS North Island, 609 Ocean Blvd. It was right across the road from the beach, just down the road from the Coronado Hotel. We asked one of the Navy guys about it and he said he checked it out for fun once, $4,000,000. Great location and great view. But man, the price, the politics, and taxes.

San Diego housing and rental prices have gone ballistic. I used to think of returning to SD after my career ended, but that's looking very unrealistic these days. Bad governance is turning all of California into a wasteland.
