I just found listings for apprenticeships for various trades here in NYS starting at $30-$40 an hour.
Starting. That’s NOT a typo and neither are the rates quoted.
Who the heck would want to waste time and money getting a bogus degree?!
I was making 50 bucks an hour plumbing oil coolers for heat treat furnaces 15 years ago. Not too sure most woman could handle 21 ft lengths of 3” steel pipe working off ladders 20 plus feet in the air for 8 -12 hours a day. Overhead work is a bitch, try swinging a 3-4 ft pipe wrench on the ground and than imagine doing it off a ladder. The real money comes when you work for yourself and you can choose your jobs.
