Toobin: Trump documents judge ‘trying to kill this prosecution’
Toobin criticized Cannon for her recent decision to let third parties argue in a June 21 hearing on Trump's motion to dismiss the indictment on grounds that special counsel Jack Smith, who brought the charges against Trump, was illegally appointed to the job.
Note: the Trial may begin today with initial procedure of the court, but tomorrow will allow 3rd parties to testify. SO, there is no new actual news about the case until tomorrow is over.
You are correct, but the tainted evidence is a totally different point. Anything he took out in the records was his to take out. If they put other stuff in there, there will be a paperwork trail somewhere. And a good defense will show that.
Of course, the “tainted” is pretty much everyone getting a government paycheck right now, so that might be a problem.
