Despite your sarcasm Professor Bayefsky’s statement was excellent.

Now to some work.

On 19 June 2018, the United States pulled out of the UNHRC accusing the body of bias against Israel and a failure to hold human rights abusers accountable. Of course this was during President Trump’s administration. One could trust him to do the proper thing.

Since then the US has rejoined. This happened in February 2021 in the beginning of the Biden administration. The USA is represented in this session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. Who is the US representative, what is he/she doing?

Time to contact your Representatives and Senators. (eg Rep. Elise Stefanik and Senator tom Cotton).

Membership of the Human Rights Council for the 18th cycle (1 January - 31 December 2024)

No names of the flesh and blood representative, just the countries who are members. Is any one person in charge of a member country’s statements and activities during its membership period? Or are they each a collection of interchangeable bureaucrats? Who you gonna call?
