I have an old friend from College I’ve kept in touch with all these years later. He’s not at all like any of this. He’s been in a long term relationship for a couple decades, doesn’t put anything out there, doesn’t participate in any of this. Just want’s to live his life quiet and out of any spot light. You’ld never know just talking to him. We’ve had a few off the cuff short conversations of all this pride grandstanding and he considers it just that. Ego driven attention seeking nonsense. He wants nothing to do with it.
Most I’ve encountered are the same.
A few will admit that the gay acceptance changes have made life more tolerable overall but that the extremist wackos are not improving things. And are embarrassed by that stuff.
