Wait ... people are hitting abuse over abbreviations now? Not the actual curse words, but LETTERS?

Yep. GTFO. And it puts a lot of pressure on the moderators thinking maybe they’re not doing their job.

It’s most likely the same people that have created some of the keyword for this post.

"I don't even know if any of that makes sense... It makes damn good sense :)
I was always taught that, "salty language," was the appropriate term. A good cook knows just the right amount of salt to enhance the flavors of their food. Likewise, a good communicator knows when to sprinkle in a few off color terms for emphasis, humor, provocation or passion. Just as too much salt can render a feast inedible, too much foul language can drown out what may be otherwise valid communications.

Jim, our kids (well my grandkids) are exposed to the entire litany of the seven deadly words on TikTok every day, according to their mother. What happens here is Casper Milquetoast by comparison. Not suggesting that the rules be changed, but also not getting wound up over mild euphemisms. Now, a certain regular poster named after a Russian city recently expressed a desire to do violence to my, aah, (hinder) with a set of golf clubs. Maybe I should have reported that. It wasn't the first time, either.

Years ago my wife told one of our kids not to use a swear word that she heard. The child said “Well dad swears!” (I’m thinking - hmm, maybe under my breath and she heard me.”
“Well, I don’t think so honey - what word was it?”
“It was the “s” word.”
(Not my go-to cuss word, but maybe???)
“Hmm - maybe, but I don’t think so? When did you hear me say it?”
“When you were talking about the dog!”
Now I’m really puzzled “What is the “s” word - it’s okay, you can say it.”
“You called him a stupid dog.”
“Oh that’s right. I forgot. That was mean of me. I won’t do it again.”

Best SpongeBob episode ever. I remember watching that and laughing with my daughter when she was young and my crabby ex-wife getting upset about it.

Well, George Patton said a fighting army needs eloquent profanity to be successful, if that can be applied here.
But I can’t really recall much eloquent profanity, except in Kenneth Robert’s novels. That man was good.

Patton once said that an officer should be able to give a 15 minute profanity laden dressing down of a subordinate without repeating a single profanity.

I don’t know but I guess I am a hypocrite And a fake Christian. A real Christian would probably not be running a political forum. And if I ever do it again I won’t I’ll be running a God centered Forum instead of a political form. Politics will be second stage. Thank God he’s forgiving.

Maybe I shouldn’t have suggested that the CDC Pho Cough earlier today?
I was just doing a shorthand recommendation of Vietnamese soup for a cough.
Or something like that. Really.
