The Russians WERE considered the world’s #2 military. They failed to take anything near Kiev and today life is relatively normal there. Since running away from Kiev the Russians barely advanced a days walking distance beyond the 2014 borders.
At the minimum, Ukraine exposed the Russian military for the joke it is and nobody will buy their junk weapons any more.
Russia will go broke and tuck tail like they already did in Afghanistan. The Ukrainians are putting up far more resistance than Afghans did
