It’s not active anti-Semitism. It’s more like, Israel fighting back effectively is bad for business. So they should surrender so that oil and gas become cheaper. Genocide shmenocide.

You may be right or at least partly right. I read this statement as "as long as we are nice to the crocodile it will not eat us". Maybe it is a bit of both.
