Although it is CBS, and therefore I consider it a source of lies, on your urging, I did read the article.
The man said *IF* you steal another election, the guns will come out, and *WE* , as in a large segment of the American people, will hunt them (agents) down, blah blah blah.
The statement is only a threat if they steal an election, and even at that, beyond the powers of this man to carry it out.
There is no overt or explicit threat against this agent or his family, just a lot of mouthing off by a loudmouth regarding what the he hoped would happen if they stole another election.
This would never have been filed against a Democrat, so it is therefore another case of overreach of powers and punishment of a man for speaking his opinion to a member of the aristocracy.
Any charges filed for an actual assault against a Federal agent?
