While the Republicans are infamous for being submissive, they tend to eat their own. This is just a temporary display of party unity IMO. The minute Trump is elected they will start working to resist and undermine him, just as they did before.

The Republican Party has no respect whatsoever for what its voters want. They could care less. If they did want to honor the voters’ desires we would have seen a much different party pushing the conservative agenda hard, a long time ago. The Gutless Old Party has nothing but disdain for its base.
