Garland just said the president can extend presidential privilege to keep individuals from being held in criminal contempt from Congress

Incorrect, or Obama would have invoked this as regards Eric Holder.

This is a brand-new made up assertion.

This would be a “constitutional crisis”

The legislative branch is meant to have oversight powers over the executive. If the executive can extend presidential privilege over anyone in the executive branch, it completely nullifies the checks and balances and lets the executive reign supreme.

Yup! Garland is a tyrant. Tyrants just make stuff up as they go. See what sticks.
I hope the Congress enforces the subpoena to get the unaltered audio. Otherwise...more of the same.
