Indiana Sees Incredible 98% Drop in Abortions Thanks to Abortion Ban
Life News ^ | June 12, 2024 | Kimberlyn Schwartz

The Indiana Department of Health’s recent report revealed a 98% decrease in abortions in the state of Indiana. The report detailed 45 abortions during the first 2024 quarter, a tremendous reform compared to the 1,931 abortions committed in the first quarter of 2023. This means 1,886 babies are alive in Indiana who may not have been at this time last year.

These are encouraging numbers. But Indiana’s abortion industry is actively threatening the laws that made this victory possible. The same day the Indiana Department of Health released its report, Planned Parenthood argued in court to challenge Indiana’s Pro-Life laws.

Indiana’s policy currently protects preborn children from the moment of conception, with three exceptions:

1 When the baby is conceived from rape or incest

2 When the baby is given a life-limiting diagnosis

3 When the mother’s health or life is at serious risk

Babies should be shielded from abortion despite a tragic origin story or life-limiting disability. Still, Indiana’s abortion ban is a positive incremental reform. Prior to August 2023, the state permitted abortions up to 20 weeks.

Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups sued members of Indiana’s Medical Licensing Board last November. They claimed the “Health or Life Exception” is “unconstitutionally narrow” and “needlessly restrictive,” even though the decision is left to the physician’s “reasonable medical judgment.”

The abortion industry attempted the same ploy in Texas. Abortion is illegal in Texas in all cases except to save the life of the mother or prevent a serious injury. But last year, the Center for Reproductive Rights sought to “clarify the scope” of the medical emergency exception in Texas’ abortion ban. Effectively, they tried to justify aborting babies for any reason, not just for the life of the mother.

In a Pro-Life triumph, the Supreme Court of Texas recently ruled unanimously in favor of Texas and upheld our life-affirming laws. The court reiterated that physicians have the authority to use their medical judgment in determining how to intervene to save a pregnant mother’s life, such as an induction or C-section.

Pray for Indiana as they battle the same aggressive opposition to their Pro-Life laws. And as the pro-abortion culture continues its tireless attacks across the states, pray for our Pro-Life leaders to remain courageous and unapologetic in their defense of Life!

Unfortunately, most of those 1,886 babies not killed in Indiana probably died tragically in Illinois, Michigan, or Ohio.

I’m all for the great news. But now compare illinois numbers between 2023 and 2024. If no additional numbers occurred then we might have success. But with Gary basically hitting Chicago geographically, I wouldn’t be surprised if some traveled to illinois. Hopefully not.

I figure some did travel but how many times can they keep doing that? That costs money, is wear and tear on their car and them. Sooner or later they will either not have abortions or find other ways to not get pregnant recklessly.

I was at the pharmacy last night and I can’t believe what I saw as I was waiting for the lady to get my meds. I happen to look down at a end cap and there was birth control pills OTC. I ask the lady “when did this become OTC?” she said “oh we just got that”. I had her check the price it was $19.99 for a month supply Now I don’t know if minors may buy it I did not ask. I did say, thinking aloud “Well I don’t want to hear any more excuses for abortion not being legal if they are selling this OTC” the woman behind the counter gave me a painful look, I could tell she supported abortion.

BTW they also had a three month supply for sale but I have no idea who much it cost.

98% decrease?
That’s great news for the babies, but there must be dead women everywhere!

Can’t survive in an oxygen rich environment and also needs acidic. So alkaline levels are important and even rubbing hydrogen peroxide on skin is good. Extra oxygen molecule. Ivermectin will work wonders, there’s actually a lot you can do. Modern medicine is big business and designed to keep us coming back for more. Also sugar. No sugar period. Eat red meat and fruits.

It’s appalling that hormones like birth control can now be over the counter.

The endocrine system is NOTHING to mess with when you don’t know what you’re doing.

The rate of babies being born would reveal more about whether or not the abortion bans saved the lives of the unborn. I saw a study from 2023 that said over 30,000 more babies were born nationwide than expected.
