Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Is ‘Gunning for His Own Show’ After Guest Hosting for Sean Hannity

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is making a shocking pivot from politics to showbiz as he eyes a spot on the FOX News primetime lineup, sources exclusively tell In Touch.

The politician Donald Trump once branded Ron DeSanctimonious is using his guest host gig on Sean Hannity‘s radio show as a springboard to the entertainment spotlight, sources say.

“DeSantis is gunning for his own show,” says an insider, who says the ambitious right winger may be aiming for more than just a guest spot. “Sean better watch his back — Ron’s not one to stay loyal for long!”

DeSantis, 45, still has nearly three years left as the Sunshine State’s top dog, but insiders say he’s salivating for more — and whispers in the corridors of power are that even though the petulant pol’s presidential dreams have been dashed, his hunger for the limelight hasn’t dimmed.

“Ron wouldn’t hesitate to jump ship for a big TV deal,” reveals a confidant. “He wanted to ditch the governorship to be the president. Sure, Hannity’s radio show isn’t the White House, and it’s not even part of FOX News — but it’s close enough to TV for Ron

Who listens to, or watches Hannity’s radio and/or TV show? I haven’t watched Fox News or any new programming on any platform since 2008.

Hannity? Oh wait, it was Colmes that died. Hannity is the instant replay of the previous talk shows. 😜

Hannity is the top rated radio talk show host in America. Lots of people listen to him.

Total BS. So he guest hosts for 3 hours and someone runs with it. He’s got a day job. 3 years to go. Like he’s trying to pull a Kevin McCarthy and run just because he didn’t get his gig? Spare us.

Plenty. Hannity has the most listened to radio show and the 2nd most watched show on cable. The Desimps communication people will deny it, but Fox News is where he’ll eventually end up.

so he can show off the high heeled boots more often?

the guy has never wanted to really do the work of things necessary.

He just signs papers that sound good but back stab Floridians or US Citizens in one way or other.

Anyone would be an improvement on Deep State buttboy Sean Vanity.

It always irked me that the phony baloney Vanity got his big shot after WABC fired the great Bob Grant for his sarcastic
comments about Clinton Commerce Secretary Ron Brown.

I said at the start he is too ugly to run. The days of LBJ types is over.

Should have done this:
1) First get the cosmetic surgery including the new nose.

2) Then run for President. With a drop out and high praises of Trump on the way out. Good feelings abound.

I was mowing the grass as the Andrew Wilkow show ended (Vanity closes for Wilkow on SiriusXM M-F)and I sometimes will listen to the first segment of Vanity and I was listening the day DeSantis filled in and he did not do a bad job. Certainly more enjoyable than Vanity who as one FReeper summed it up as: an hour of commercials, an hour talking about himself, and an hour talking with guests where he eventually brings the conversation back to himself. DeSantis simply talked as if he was having a conversation with the listeners and was a refreshing change. I would much rather listen to DeSantis or even DeSantis over Levin who use to be interesting until about a year+ back when he started pimping his latest book nearly non-stop along with his angry old man get off my lawn delivery that just gets old. Levin’s analysis is usually good but just can’t listen for more than a few minutes. To this day, my favorite talker was the early days of G Gordon Liddy for the first several years of his program before he started selling that stupid stacked and packed calendar where he began to spend way too much time pimping the calendar. His show was on regular radio (I listened in DC area but he may have been in other markets as well) where there were a lot of commercials and he would pimp the calendar, go to commercial, pimp calendar and if it was a good day I got maybe 10 minutes of content before my lunch break was over and I had to turn off his show and go back into the office from the parking lot (couldn’t listen to radio while in the office at that job).

Wow. How sad is that? I always thought he sounded like a political radio Disney. But I will say in the old days I'd get a hoot out of him interrupting whoever he was talking to. He'd just slam the hood on their heads, not even noticing he just cut them off. Verbally chainsawing them.

“Hannity is the top rated radio talk show host in America. Lots of people listen to him.”

1. Talk about Sean.
2. Enumerate everything in bullet points yet again.
3. Rant for Ratings.

The average person is a moron, so I suppose his mind numbing rhetoric works for them.

His term as Governor ends in 2026, so a stint in radio or TV for a couple years could sharpen his skills, expose more people to his conservative bona fides and be good prep for another WH run in 2028. It’s a very smart move on his part if he goes that route.

That wouldn’t be a bad plan, depending on what media organization he connected with.

IF he only had stepped back and not challenged and betrayed Trump for 2024, people would have higher regard for him. It’ll take a while to get into MAGA good graces.

Hannity is 98 to 99 percent reliably conservative, it seems to me. But he does like Lindsey Graham.
