The Big 5 sporting goods stores sell good quality replicas of firearms that are CO2 based. It is perfectly plausible that the victim had purchased such a product from the sporting goods store and was returning a defective purchase. Too bad the victim didn't have the good sense to put the "firearm" in a pistol pouch instead of carrying it in the open where another person armed with a real firearm could perceive a threat and shoot him.

My local Sportsmanswarehouse requires persons bringing a firearm into the store for "retail remediation" to stop at the front desk to ensure the firearm is clear and safe to handle inside the store.

Play time is over. The three year old stabbed and murdered by the ghettopotamus, the 70s year old grandmother imprissoned for anti abortion protests, the looting and random mayhem allowed for one side but not the other is resulting in a compete disregard for rule of law.

Reap what they’ve sown. Somehow they think they’ll be “safe” from a very large amount of hostility that they’ve nurtured from the conservative, Christian, patriotic, heterosexual population of the United States.

I love what the democrat party is doing and fully support Biden’s effort to push DEI and make ammends for our racist country... but others ...not so much.

What I don’t see is whether the “toy” airsoft gun had the required orange tip on the barrel which is intended to prevent tragic situations like this.

Was the orange tip removed or colored black to make a toy look more realistic and possibly deadly?

If so, why was this done? Was it just a kid’s macho fantasy, or was it something more sinister?
