The only other place I see this Leftist-stype doublethink is Ukraine - where Russia is on the verge of defeat and collapse, but is also a threat to invade and occupy the whole of Europe !

Huh? I explicitly said these US could take any of those, if we actually tried to. But we're not. I never said we can't eliminate them.

And I've said several times (even before they invaded) that Russia was no threat to us - they're a local land power, with a pile of rusty nukes that probably can't even make it in the air but for a couple of them.
