US does have a higher incarceration rate than Russia (provided that you believe the statistics) But it’s unquestionable that US has higher rate than all other first world nations.
This is something that Trump should realize by now. The courts especially federal are horribly corrupt and defendants are routinely stripped of due process via witness tampering, fabrication of evidence, jury tampering and excessive charges leading to defendant bankruptcy by lawfare.
The US legal system is horrible arguably the worst in the world right there with China and Russia.
The legal system is increasingly politicized and it appears to be a result of unconstitutional teaching at leftist law schools and personal career ambitions of
judges and prosecutors.
The system is corrupted.
