So what? We deploy our fleets all over the world at will. Its international waters. Do not fall for this WWIII hype. 😏

Is the US Navy’s presence in waters close to Russia considered a ‘challenge to or defiance of the Russian government? Our navy can go where it wants in international waters, so the Russian navy can go where it wants.

You are probably familiar with the last 72 hours of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Are you familiar with the run up to the crisis? We’ve seen this movie before. We know how it ends in Escalation, Act III.

I lived through it in Jacksonville, FL. Today is nothing, I repeat nothing like the Cuban missile crisis.

But if you want to sit around wringing your hands and letting the MSM feed you the WWIII scam knock yourself out.

The Hunt for Red October.......

Biden tried to imitate and portray himself as a Ronald Reagan at Normandy this week. Let’s see if he can imitate JFK’s moves!

That lowly frigate with the Zircons is capable of sinking aircraft carriers attempting to exit Norfolk.

That assumes the Russian ships are even seaworthy enough to make it across the Atlantic. Given the general Slavic distaste for preventive maintenance, I wouldn't be shocked if they get stranded halfway there.

The Russian Navy has run ships and subs through the Caribbean for the past 60 years or so…probably longer.

Sure - and during how many of those 60 years was US hardware landing inside Russian borders?

You guys seem to think this scares the US.

I for one am quite certain it will NOT 'scare the US'. The people calling the shots in DC (whoever they are) obviously think they can predict the Russian response, every time we escalate. Unfortunately for these United States, the DC boys are likely to be surprised, sooner or later.

From what I can see online, they’ve sent four ships:

Admiral Gorshkov missile frigate
“Kazan” attack submarine
“Pashin” - an oil tanker
“Nikolai Chiker” a salvage tug

That’s kinda mildly hilarious, to be honest. Two warships, a fueler, and a tugboat.

I’d rather see them popup off the coast of Delaware some weekend. That would get the neocon’s blood flowing.

Are you aware that carriers don’t sail alone? Additionally, we probably have at least one submarine and other assets watching the Russians very closely.

The US Navy is highly capable and able to manage this threat.

Oh good. A chance to refresh our ELINT and update the propeller acoustics from that sub!

Why would we need to do that? Our sub following the Kazan already has updated info..

ACINT ELINT all the INT. Put a couple of cute girls at the end of the pier and collect some HUMINT.

I’m sure the Russians will change their plans once Joe Biden tells them: “Don’t.”

Does Monroe doctrine apply in modern times still? And under this “administration”?

Good chance to test out our stealth underwater drones to see if they can tag a Rooskie sub without being noticed.
If they do get caught, so what, and if they don’t, we could get some good intel.

We almost went to nuclear war in 1962 over 4 missiles that the Russians were attempting to station in Cuba.
