Florida’s highest court on Thursday rejected an effort by a suspended state attorney to get reinstated after she was removed from office last year by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in his second suspension of a Democratic prosecutor.
Supreme Court justices voted 6-1 to deny a petition from suspended State Attorney Monique Worrell of the 9th Judicial Circuit, which serves metro Orlando. The majority of justices said they disagreed with her arguments that DeSantis’ reasons for suspending her were too vague or that the suspension infringed on her lawful exercise of prosecutorial discretion.
DeSantis claimed Worrell failed to prosecute crimes committed by minors and didn’t seek mandatory minimum sentences for gun crimes, putting the public in danger in her central Florida district.

Yep.
Good riddance. The arrogance is written on her face. I wonder if she is one of Soros plants.
She is definitely an unqualified DEI placement.
This purge needs to be ramped up 100 fold nationwide.
She and her autographed Soros doll can move to New York, somewhere close to Bragg.
Because he’s the Governor, is why.
“DeSantis claimed Worrell failed to prosecute crimes committed by minors and didn’t seek mandatory minimum sentences for gun crimes, putting the public in danger in her central Florida district.”
In other words, young black feral thugs.
Damn, she’s like a dead ringer for Sheila Jackson-Lee. Down to the slight scowl.
(For serious scowl and attitude, see Maxine Waters.)
Give her the DNC treatment. Have her disbarred for life.
This angry, dyspeptic, dump truck of a woman is why black men often date outside of their race.
Yep. She is one of the Soros prosecutors.
Florida Supreme Court Sides with DeSantis Over Removal of Soros-Backed Prosecutor”
There have been those that have questioned Florida’s controversial governor.
Now the verdict is in: he has been right all along in governing the state.
Excellent governor!
There are a few county sheriffs in Florida who need to be on the receiving end of the same sort of winnowing by the Governor, since they have resorted to cooking the books by prohibiting and discouraging deputies to enforce the laws, so that the stats reflect a net “decrease” in crime year over year in their jurisdictions. But I won’t mention any names. In the meantime, the ferals run the streets in those venues.
” But I won’t mention any names.”
Why not?
Minimum mandatory sentencing for gun crimes is enshrined into law in Florida.
Ten, twenty, life as I recall.
Ten years for gun use in a felony.
Twenty years for injuring someone.
Life for a death.
Yep .. I’m thinking of 3.
Yeah, no joke, I knew a guy that took in roommates from work to help cover the mortgage after a break-up.
The new roommate turned out to be a crack head, stopped paying his share, started stealing from the owner and other roommate and refused to get out, “I got rights”.
The owner threatened him with a gun when he caught him breaking into his new girl friend’s car.
A police operation was in process down the block and an under cover cop saw him brandishing a gun. he got five years in one of the bad Florida prisons, Starke or Raiford.
