I would not classify the Army as moderate, only some of the officers. If they were moderate, there would not be Hamas tunnels between Gaza and Egypt.

There's some elements of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Egyptian population. Naturally, some officers may be sympathetic toward the Muslim Brotherhood.

Another factor is corruption. You pay them off, they'll allow you to build your tunnel to Gaza. It's part of business.

Yes, nobody should starve, but in reality, there are many people starving out there in the world.
But, for some reason, the Gazans seem to be the most in need?!
I suggest, they should stand in the back of the line for food. There are many more deserving starving people.
