Fagscism.
Good for Emo, it’s about 100 miles west and a little south from Toronto, or 70 miles northeast of London, Ontario.
“You have to accept us and celebrate us.”
Does this work for any other group in society?
Let’s try it ...
poker players
sex trade workers
left-handed golfers
people who don’t signal turns
idiots
Doesn’t seem to work for any specialized group but LBGT.
Instead of this “celebrate pride” attitude, I would counter with this, sexuality is a private concern and should remain so, I don’t expect anyone to react in any particular way to my sexuality, nor do I wish to burden the community with affirmations of it, and this should be the general rule. I don’t see any justification for “gay pride” or any other form of sexuality or gender pride, and frankly I don’t care if two people engage in gay sex (or change their gender), that’s between them and God and good luck to them.
If they say, no it’s not between us and God, or worse, that God celebrates them too, I believe they will be in for a nasty surprise and I don’t predict good things will come of it. But we’ve gone over this and they have chosen to ignore good advice. It’s their fate now. They should not be trying to pull down those who seek to resist their views. It will be a travesty if Emo is punished for their principled stand.
