That explanation makes perfect sense to me. Thank your elaborating. I sometimes jump to conclusion because of my frustration with those that cannot see the clear difference between the two and some use the “mean tweet” excuse for whatever reason. Thanks again.

No worries. I feel the same when it does happen. I can promise you though that 90% of the people making the ‘mean tweets’ argument aren’t moderates or apologists for the establishment (we have run most of those voters off, they’re being whiny babies & they are not voting President DJT). Almost all of the people on conservative forums like FR commenting about mean tweets are solid conservatives. They are simply stressed out bc they know the country has been in an awful place, our freedoms are threatened & the economy sucks. They get worried about being flippant, creating talking points for Democrats & blowing the election like we have the last couple.

I’ve been one of those people wringing my hands over mean tweets- & I’m sure not a centrist, establishment supporter. I’m conservative across the board on all issues. Politics isn’t just a past time for me- it’s a career. I’ve run some campaigns in my home state of Alabama. It’s one of the few things I think I have a talent for. I can promise you, the biggest factor that wins an election is discipline. Ground organization and messaging are important too, but a candidate won’t succeed at either of those or just in general without discipline.

Think about it: how did Republicans win any election. It wasn’t messaging that’s for sure. Like so many other institutions, they didn’t do the work to build a foothold in the media to develop & deliver a message. It wasn’t major ground organizations either. That’s another area they didn’t do a good enough job with. When Republicans won, it was because they were disciplined, raised the needed funds built the other factors. Reagan was incredibly discipline. He was Governor of California & won 40+ states in his races for President. Hingrich ended 40 years of consecutive rule by Democrats in 1994. He was disciplined too. Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida. Same.

The one area President Trump needs to do better in is discipline. He’s got personality & delivers messages well. He’s not afraid. The problem is he shoots off his mouth & he steps into traps set for him. He never seems to realize: when he does that, Democrats & the press report on it endlessly & it ends up obscuring his message. He can win this hands down if he concentrated on what’s important. I think it’s far more important to do whatever needs to be done to win the election & save our country. By comparison, I could care less about owning or trolling or getting bated into stupid fights with leftists 😉
