As a Californian I can attest that regular people are leaving this state on a daily basis. It is relentless. When I moved here 40 years ago California was the place to be. Not any more. Now it’s the place to leave. By the way, we used to have Republican Governors and Senators, etc… That doesn’t happen anymore.
I’m leaving California for Arkansas in July... already bought a house in the Arkansas River Valley. Aside from all the social unrest, it’s also incredibly expensive here. The house I bought in AR is half the price of the one I sold here so I’ll have a little cash in my pocket after the move.
WARNING WARNING : AVOID FLORIDA!
It's sucks in every way. There are huge snakes, giant alligators, sharks, mosquitoes the size of dive bombers, roaches the size of Winnebagos, and they're all very mean and hungry. Even the minorities are WHITE SUPREMACISTS, you can't say “gay” and if you do you are hunted down by crazed cis “Florida men”. 50% of the populace dies from hurricanes, disease and famine annually. There is no running water, you have to drink from puddles. Crime is high and there are cannibals.
Even though the last sentence may remind you of your current home state, for your own good STAY AWAY!
We also used to say “Welcome to California. Now go home.” Everyone forgets that we used to be a fairly conservative state, and still mostly are except for the Bay Area and So Cal, then all the fruits and nuts from other states came here for our climate and beautiful scenery, bringing all their liberalness and messing it up for native Californians. Now they’re heading to other states to do the same thing to them.
