IDF says it struck terrorists hiding in UNRWA school, took steps to avoid harming civilians

The Israel Defense Forces says it has carried out a precise strike on a compound used by the Hamas terror group inside an UNRWA school in central Gaza, while taking extensive precautions to reduce harm to civilians.

The Hamas-run government media office has claimed at least 27 people were killed in what it termed the Israeli “massacre.”

“A short while ago, fighter jets… conducted a precise strike on a Hamas compound embedded inside an UNRWA school in the area of Nuseirat,” the army says in a statement, adding that several terrorists were “eliminated.”

The IDF says the compound was used by members of Hamas’s elite Nukhba force who took part in the terror group’s October 7 massacre in Israel, in which some 1,200 were killed and 251 were taken hostage.

The army says the terrorists, along with members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group, “directed terror attacks from the area of the school, while exploiting it as a civilian location and as shelter.

“The strike eliminated terrorists who had planned to carry out terror attacks and advance imminent terror schemes against our forces,” the IDF says, adding that “many steps were taken before the strike to minimize the risk of harm to uninvolved people” — including analyzing aerial footage and using precise intelligence.

It releases an aerial photo showing where in the compound the terrorists had allegedly been staying..

Murderous pillaging and rape, then hiding in hospitals and schools, using innocent civilians as human shields, including children, is the lowest of the low, the type of crimes that represent the very worst that humanity has to offer.
In America, people who commit crimes of this nature are regularly put to death.
That is justice.
America’s colleges and universities have irredeemably disgraced themselves with their political support for these murderous thugs.
Close these swill holes permanently, knock the buildings down and start over.
That would also be justice.

It’s not just a case of hiding in a school. The UNRWA is actively helping Hamas. UNRWA vehicles have transported terrorists. The UN is corrupt, an enemy of the U.S., and shouldn’t get another penny of U.S. taxpayers’ money.

I don’t think we do that anymore.

They are not “civilians.” They are terrorists in waiting. Kill them all.

How Al Jazeera described it:

The Government Media Office in Gaza said at least 27 people were killed and dozens injured in strike on a school sheltering displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central region of the Palestinian territory.

Been listening to Robert Spencer on YT. Wow, so illuminating as to why Hamas et al do and say the things they do!

Yes, we most certainly do.
Some states still have capital punishment, Texas and Florida for sure. Several others.
In the election cycle of 1992, candidate Bill Clinton, governor of the state of Arkansas left the campaign trail to oversee the execution of a mentally impaired man named Ricky Ray Rector. Mr. Clinton needed to prove that he was tough on crime. The execution took place, and Clinton was elected that November.
In addition to the several states that still execute murderers, the Federal Judiciary still has capital punishment, and uses it frequently.
The SCOTUS ruled in 1976 that capital punishment was cruel and unusual, and outlawed it.
After tremendous opposition to the ruling, SCOTUS reversed itself, and the execution of viscous criminals recommenced.
So yes, we certainly do still do “that”.

You are spot on.
I have advocated for years of removing the US from the UN.
It has become one of the most visible anti American organizations in the world.
Kick the dirtbag phony diplomats out and knock the building down.

A study done several years back proved that the countries that get the most money from the US actually vote against us almost always at the UN, some with a 99% vote against us record.
The country that voted with us almost 100% of the time at the UN got the least amount of money, approximately 89,000 dollars. That was the former Soviet Republic of Georgia.
Some countries get billions, and ALWAYS vote against us.
OUT OUT OUT !!!

Yes, capital punishment laws are still in effect. Enforcing law is not.

TAQIYYA. The religion of Islam gives its adherents the right to lie in many circumstances. There is not one word from a Muslim source that can be trusted.

Try wikipedia.
24 executions in the US in 2023.
1,588 since 1977.
All for murder and multiple murder.
Yes, we still execute murderers.

Not sure who needs to hear it, but everything that is done to help the ‘palestinians’ without exception ends up in the hands of the head chopping jew hating murderous hamas rapists.

Why does that seem to be such a mystery?

The SCOTUS ruled in 1976 that capital punishment was cruel and unusual, and outlawed it.

Keeping Charlie Manson, Ted Bundy, Jeffery Dahmer, etc. alive is cruel and unusual punishment to the families of their victims, if you ask me.

Yes, I agree.
I was responding to another post who claimed that we ‘don’t do that” anymore, meaning capital punishment.
I explained a little history about the issue, which included the brief moratorium in 1976 per SCOTUS.
Keeping these murderers alive for 20 years while their automatic appeal”s process makes its way through the court system is an insult to the victim’s families. It makes a mockery of the law, and it gives these murderers the publicity and notoriety that they seek.
It’s obscene, and yes, cruel and unusual punishment for the survivors.
