Yep. It is safer to cross the Serengeti alone and on foot than drive through Chicago. Lions, crocodiles, and hippos are much friendlier than the locals in Chicago.
I have a buddy, he was a missionary kid and his folks were in Mali, I think it was Bamako. At any rate, he told me first how dangerous hippos were and that the army would often assist with river crossings wielding RPG-7s. If that’s safer, I had best bring a rifle company or better yet, the whole regiment with air and arty support heh.
