If anything like the “Rev.” Jeremiah Wright’s church, the Abyssinian Baptist Church is probably heavy on politics and racial grievances, with only an occasional reference to the Gospel.

After waiting in the freezing cold 1.5 hours and getting shouted at by the ushers we got into the church. The singing was out of the world BUT my daughters bad knee was by this time beginning to seize up, the service was coming to a close and we decided to discreetly leave. We were seized upon by two very irate ushers who accused us of being disrespectful to their church and their religion (we too are christian!) and then told to get out and dont come back again!!! Thats not my idea of a church but it was worth getting the verbal abuse of them to hear the singing!!
