Pretty much. Think about it for awhile. It seems rather strange that someone would approach the place where a juror lives. Tells another person who apparently lives there what this money is for promising more money if the task is completed. That person offering the bribe then becomes identifiable.

Either this is some sort of setup, or this cadre of people who concocted this scam are a bunch of buffoons. In turn, the government people running this program were also buffoons.

If that is the case then the people running this program also need to be charged, because it sounds like insider complicity to me.

Bottom line is there is more to this story than what is being told in this article.

BTW, 240K burns a hole through most people's pockets rather quickly when obtained in such a manner, so I doubt it would be a 6 year supplement.

I don't buy this story on face value. You are free to believe it. I'll wait to see what unfolds. If I'm wrong I'm wrong, and I will admit I'm wrong, None of us are right all of the time. But something feels off to me, so for now I will question the validity of what is being reported.

After all, the government could have been given a tip about this woman, and this is their attempt to ensnare her. I can't say exactly what I think is wrong, but I can say it feels like the story is fishy.

The defendants were mostly Somalis. A few years before another Somali group was caught by a Minneapolis TV station running a fraudulent childcare operation. TV cameras caught Somalis with a car loads of kids pulling up to the door of the childcare center, run in long enough to sign their kids in for “daycare” and leave with kids in tow. State investigators said they could find any fraud. My son in law, a former TSA agent at Minneapolis International Airport, said it was not uncommon for Somalis to go through security with carry on bags full of cash and one way tickets to Somalia. An FBI investigation concluded that some of these funds were funneled to Al Shabab terrorists.

A few years ago we were in Kenya to visit national parks. On a trip from Nairobi to Amboselli (a long drive) I got to talk to our guide.
