Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) signed a bill Friday setting up a voting program for inmates held in county jails, a first-of-its-kind effort expanding the ability to vote to those in local custody.

The law requires counties to designate an employee to coordinate voting access for those in custody, including at least one day of in-person voting. People convicted of felonies are not eligible to vote in Colorado, though those who were convicted of a misdemeanor or are awaiting trial are eligible.

On the other hand it could be useful for us when the Stasi starts mass arresting us.

Amazed it took this long. If I was a criminal I’d vote a straight Democrat ticket.

If the GOP is smart, and we all know they are dumber than dirt, they remind the prisoners they are the result of demoKKKrat policies which kept them down

If the prisoners are eligible to vote (misdemeanor or awaiting trial) then they should be allowed to vote

Don't be naïve. It won't apply to conservatives.

"Colorado governor approves nation’s first statewide voting program for prisoners"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

This official state action wrongly weakens the constitutionally enumerated voting power of voters in good standing, a violation of Section 1 of 14th Amendment imo.

Excerpted from 14th Amendment (14A):

If this were a better world, the feds would be publicly reminding all states before an election that the feds will be darkening the doorway of any state to investigate allegations of possible violations of constitutional voting integrity protections, allowing prisoners to vote in this example.

In the meanwhile, since the current corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress is not doing its job to protect voter rights, voters in good standing must support hopeful Trump 47 with a new patriot Congress in November that will actually do its duty to protect such rights.

If CO is a blue state...

...then why does Deep State have to steal its elections? 🤔

More Democrat voters!! This is disgusting for the average citizen. The Democrats win votes through legislation and the courts not from actual citizens. Soon they’ll be allowing foreigners to vote - oh wait!!

This year, at least, the prison vote might go for Trump.
