Have you kept up with the news? The Dems easily avoided the entire problem by voting to nominate Biden virtually before the convention. So do you want to tell me what we gained by this?

As far as I can tell, we accomplished two things:

1) Gave the Dems an a means of avoiding a riot in Chicago on the night Biden is nominated, and; 2) Made it look to swing voters that Republicans in Ohio are as afraid of an open election as are Democrats in Colorado.

How does either of those things help us in November? Because the way I see it, we just helped the Democrats solely because it "felt good" to not change the date.

And by the way, while I can see how this may have looked like the Democrats just being really dumb from outside Ohio, the truth is that the legislature has always shifted the dates to accommodate late convention dates. So it was just us being petty, and it backfired.
