That, in essence, is why Trump will open the spigots and dismantle Biden’s embargo on planes, tanks and artillery. Every era has a BMOC. When Trump gains his second term, he wants that BMOC to be him. Losing Ukraine would hand that pedestal to Putin.
Trump could threaten Putin with an escalation he can't match, like recognizing a Belarus government in exile as the legitimate government of Belarus, giving Ukraine neutron bombs to counter Russian meat wave assaults, escalating arms shipments to Georgia, etc. Trump knows how to negotiate with brass knuckles, and he gets results.

I would like to know what he considers to be a ‘bad’ deal for Ukraine. He should grab the best deal he can get. At this point, Ukraine has no chance of “winning” without foreign intervention.
