Multiple legal experts have cited multiple legal reasons why Trump’s guilty verdict is likely to be overturned on appeal.

I am listing some of their reasons here, but there are a lot more reasons at the links:

Judges are supposed to be chosen at random. But this judge was selected on purpose.

Judges aren’t supposed to make political donations. But this judge had donated to multiple anti-trump organizations.

The main crime that Trump was convicted of was a misdemeanor, and the statute of limitations had expired. However, the prosecutor updated it to a felony, and used some other crime to avoid the statute of limitations. However, the prosecutor never said what that other crime was. The judge gave the jury instructions that they did not have to vote unanimously when it came to this other crime. The judge gave the jury three separate crimes to choose from, and said they could split their vote, such as, for example, by 4-4-4.

The campaign finance law that Trump was convicted of breaking is a federal law, not a state law. The state has no jurisdiction in this matter.

Here are opinion columns from three different legal experts that explain why there are multiple legal reasons why the verdict is likely to be overturned on appeal:

Alan Dershowitz: “I was inside the court when the judge closed the Trump trial, and what I saw shocked me”

Jonathan Turley: “Bragg’s thrill kill in Manhattan could prove short-lived on appeal”

No offense but i believe you are letting wishful thinking get in the way of rational thinking. All these improvements and delays at whose behest and by what enforcement?

I think it would be extremely unlikely to delay election day. In Texas, trying to undo in-person early voting with ID verification would be asking for trouble.

If I was engaging in wishful thinking I would wish that the judge just lets Trump off with a fine and we all roll down to election day and Trump wins in a landslide like the polls indicate. But that’s not how this is going to go.

We are likely heading to a constitutional crisis of historic proportions by end of summer. We have actually been in one since November 3, 2020. Its just now coming to a head. It looks like Trump is actually going to allow himself to be put in prison. I personally did not think he would ever agree to it but there you have it. Once that genie comes out of the bottle its going to be tough to put it back in.

Most Americans are going to be shocked by coming events because they simply cannot envision anything really crazy happening in our country. Believe me its going to get really crazy. I’m not sure how anybody still sees us getting to an election in November. And if we should get to an election how does anyone see Trump winning? The Dominion machines in 28-32 states have not had their algorithms changed since 2017.

Well, that has shifted from SCOTUS getting involved in the guilty verdict to getting involved because Trump is jailed. BTW, he has no choice but to be jailed unless he flees and that would not be a good idea if he plans to still run for office. Personally, I'd burn everything down and go to Hungary where I would be welcome and safe from extradition.

As for the election, who is going to delay it? who is going to enforce paper ballots? who is going to enforce either of those two measures and all the other things we would like to see happen? The administration? They and DOJ are the only ones that have legal enforcement powers. Short of that, an overthrow and some form of coup must take place. Short of that, I doubt we ever have a free and fair election or that Trump can ever win leaving the outcome to the current system. The left are becoming ever more bold and uncaring of opinion against them. They are counting on us being too afraid of destroying the nation to attempt to destroy them.

To hold up their image of just following the law they are going to try and convict Hunter Biden. Just a show trial and Hunter knows that. He will be pardoned and life will go on. All for the good of the cause.

They aren't through with Trump either. They are like a cat playing with a mouse or a bird. They don't want to kill it until they have had their pleasure. They know they can't poke the skunk that is the right leaning public too much and so they poke him, let outrage settle and then poke him again. They don't want to actually incite a decisive response although they would love to send out troops to put down the insurrection and kill as many as they can then cancel elections and finish their take over.

Next, in July, just before the convention they humiliate Trump further and jail him and do it very publicly. Who thinks they are going to allow him to run a campaign from inside Rikers? Not me. He will disappear into the deepest darkest hole they can find just like the January 6 political prisoners. They can do that, legally. Every time the call him a convicted felon it shakes his support and they will do that constantly. The surge in donations is outrage but the more swing voters hear convicted felon the more they have reservations. Even if FJB gloats they will have reservations, they don't think deeply enough to register what is actually happening.

Really though, all this is speculation because neither of us has a crystal ball better than the other one. We agree on one thing though, this is all very bad and likely to get much worse. America is in very serious trouble and you are right, I think most people don't know just how bad it is.

Well you’re right, America is in big trouble and most Americans don’t realize how much.

Honestly from your postings you seem pretty perceptive. I’m just surprised you haven’t made the leap of consciousness yet that we are in an operation which is taking out the deep state cabal. Most of it has already happened behind the scenes and is only now is the public starting to be exposed to it directly. Trump tells you what is happening but you have to listen.

Trump is the face of a military operation. He’s being totally protected. Nothing bad is going to happen to him. How many times does he have to say these court cases are all “fake”?

What does Trump mean when he points to these various bad actors including Biden and says “ right out of central casting”?

What do you think Trump means when he says “we’ve decided on a 4 year pause so people can see how bad it would be if things were run poorly and so they will be agreeable to the things we are going to do”.

Trump isn’t kidding when he says he’s going to destroy the deepstate. Its pretty much already happened and just now are most people getting to see it. We’re very near the end of this thing and events are going to unfold rapidly going forward from now until the end of the year. I seriously doubt we are going to see an election in November because the country is not ready for an election yet. But time will tell.
